NATURE

My fervor for photography brought me to many beautiful scenes. Countless mornings, I rose early before sunrise to find a position to catch that perfect moment. Shivering in the cold, I would warm camera batteries with my body heat to prolong their life, and pray for the weather to cooperate enough to give me a beautiful backdrop for my photos without blocking the sun rays. Too many times I have felt regretful, facing a sublime moment and I could not take a photo. That sense of loss prevented me from living in the moment and simply enjoying God’s majestic creation. It takes years to learn letting go and relishing the moment…..

For a period of time I was passionate about birds. The fascination of hummingbirds, especially croquettes (the smallest) led me from Costa Rica to Amazon forest, Peru, pursuing that perfect shot.
